The Razia gown is fully hand beaded over a sheer mesh base, with a chevron pattern that cascades from the bust to the floor like something spilling downward. A built in corset base gives the bodice its strapless structure, while the adjustable lace up back lets you customize the fit. Floor length and made for a dramatic entrance.

Product Description:

The Razia Gown is named for Razia Sultan, the only woman ever to rule the Delhi Sultanate. Appointed by her own father over her brothers because she was the most capable heir, she led as a Sultan in her own right, not as a consort or a regent. Her rule was short. Nobles who could not accept a woman on the throne turned against her again and again, and in 1240 she was defeated in battle and killed while trying to reclaim what was hers. Her story is not one most people outside of South Asian history know, but it is one of the most striking accounts of ambition and downfall in medieval history, and it is exactly the kind of woman SCATHED wants dressing our darkest gowns.
