Every piece is designed, cut, sewn, and finished in-house by skilled local artisans, By manufacturing locally, we maintain exceptional quality while supporting the talented makers who help bring our vision to life.

We upcycle offcuts to make accessories, tags, and labels to reduce waste. Our local production model minimizes transpotation emissions while allowing us to oversee every step of the creation process in our solar powered studios. Through small-batch manufacturing and mindful sourcing, we strive to reduce our environmental impact without compromising craftsmanship or design.

Aza Lethe : Designer and Founder
Rarely staying in one place for long, Aza is drawn to forgotten forests, weathered coastlines, ancient ruins, quiet cemeteries, and landscapes where beauty lingers beneath a veil of melancholy. Much of SCATHED begins in these places--where myth feels believable, nature reclaims what was left behind, and silence has its own language.
Her artistic journey began long before fashion. With a background in jewelry making, beadwork, wire jewelry, macrame, and loom weaving, she spent years mastering traditional handcrafts that demanded patience and precision. Those techniques remain woven into SCATHED today, where intricate hand-finished details and meticulous craftsmanship transform garments into wearable works of art.
Nature is both her greatest muse and her greatest responsibility. Every thorn, wildflower, twisted branch, and moonlit landscape serves as a reminder that beauty should never come at the expense of the world that created it. That belief became the foundation of SCATHED. In an industry built on speed and excess, she chose another path--one rooted in slow-fashion, local craftsmanship, thoughtful materials, and the conviction that clothing can honor both the wearer and the earth.
Little is known about Aza beyond her work and she prefers it that way. Rather than standing in front of the brand, she lets each collection reveal another page of the story--inviting those who find themselves between darkness and beauty to discover their own reflection within it.
